new look at old charlotte IV - park road shopping center - opened in 1956, this shopping center boasts 60 businesses and 2,400 parking spots. back before there was wal-mart, people could come here for a one-stop-shop of everything: a grocery, pharmacy, hardware store, barber shop, post office, jewelery, fabrics, cafes, banks, and even a movie theater ‘park terrace’ (shown above). the center is still up and kicking today, but other, newer businesses in the area usually get more attention.
